[Trisquel-devel] The first alpha ISOs for Trisquel 12, codename "Ecne" are out

Hello, everyone!

Great news!

It’s been a busy week moving things forward, and we now have the very 
first *alpha ISOs* for *Trisquel 12 "Ecne"* ready for download and testing:

  * https://cdbuilds.trisquel.org/ecne/

As the title suggests, these images are alpha, but they should give you 
a good idea of what Trisquel 12 will offer to both current and new users.

We invite all of you to help us test them carefully. Since these are 
*alpha* images, they are *not suitable for production use*.

If you have a spare test machine or can allocate some resources to a 
virtual machine, this is a great opportunity to start installing and 
exploring. That way, there's no risk of data loss or disruption to your 
production workflow if any bugs arise.

We’ll be using *Trisquel’s GitLab instance*[1] to track bugs and issues. 
When in doubt, please report bugs in the *package-helpers* repository, 
as that’s likely the most appropriate place. Also feel free to join the 
#trisquel-dev IRC channel for real time reports.

Finally, a huge thank you to everyone who has submitted reports and 
followed the development so far!

As I’ve said before, *every release is our best release yet*, and /Ecne/ 
is no exception. We hope you find it as useful and beautiful as we 
do—we’ve certainly enjoy building it.
