The source is usually in the xpi file. I looked at one extension "Flash Video
Downloader" and the mozilla addons page says MPL 1.1, but when I opened the
xpi, I found a file with the following contents:

Before getting down to using this plug-in, please, take the time to read the
terms of use stated in the current license agreement. Any use of this program
implies that you have read and accepted these terms to the fullest extent.

1) Flash Video Downloader Plug-In is designed for downloading flash-content
(video, games, music, etc.) with the help of the
http://flashvideodownloader.org/ service, which gets opened in a new Firefox
Internet browser window when needed.

2) All the information received by http://flashvideodownloader.org/ is used
solely for purposes listed in clause 1.

3) http://flashvideodownloader.org/ disclaims any legal responsibility for
further use of the content downloaded with the help of the service.

This is clearly nonfree as it violates Freedom 0.

Wrt deleting entries, the Trisquel Team page on the wiki, which seems

additional permissions for the Issue system, so PM him via the web site
with a list of what to delete and why. Perhaps he can still delete
them.

Ah, I see. I think there has been some confusion, as most
 contributors
to the addons list put the download link in the link-to-source-code
field. Perhaps they read it incorrectly.

I am unable to delete entries however.

I would say no, since without source code, 2 of the 4 freedoms are

P.S. Regarding these extensions, what if I am unable to locate
 their
source code? Should I still include them?

Hi thanks, not sure what to name this thread now. I'll be sure

starting a new thread by replying to the list.

Oh dear god I don't know what happened to that paste. The link
 seems to
 have stopped working (the host
may have deleted it!!!), although
 it was
supposed to have stayed active for 30 days. I should have saved
 a local
copy... What a pity. Not using hastebin anymore!!! (If anyone
 saved a
 copy, let me know)

At least I have some sense of which extensions they were. It
 won't be
hard to add them. Working on it now.

I scouted out a bunch of freedom friendly addons (judged based
 on the
licenses) we can add to Abrowser. If you give me the
 permission, I will
 add them to the list.

Note: Although there is an entry on the abrowser addons index,
Firegloves is unfortunately no longer available on the Mozilla
 addon
 site (404).

Firstly, well done for doing the research and being willing to
 do more.

AFAIK the only person who can give permission for anything
 Trisquel is
Rubén. However, as on the RH pane of the Trisquel.info site
 when
you're logged in there's an entry Create Content with a
 sub-entry
 Add-On available to
all users, then it doesn't look like you
 need
 permission in the first place.

The English page it links to [1] has a number fields, like a
 combo box
of approved licenses, description and several URLs for use in
 the
Add-on entry. If you want some QA, then prep your entries in a
 self
explanatory text file (unbroken URLs) and post them here with a
 long
post warning in the subject. I for one will do some checking
 as and
when I'm well enough (I'm disabled). But, best post here
 rather than
send directly so others might pick it up if I'm not.

While there's no 'use netiquette' rules posted for trisquel-dev
 and
I'm not in a position to make policy please from a practical
 point of
view do not in future top post to an extant bottom posted
 thread. In
this case it didn't matter, but in an ongoing discussion it will
 rapidly mean no one
can follow the flow of conversation in
 later quoting.

Lastly well done for doing the research and being will to do
 more again.
