To Hound:

I have adopted a compromise to your index proposal at
http://trisquel.info/en/wiki/manuals. What do you think?

Our documentation, to be blunt, should not assume the user is an IDIOT, or
just started using a computer last week. The Trisquel user will (not
might, or probably, but WILL) know where the "Internet button" is, will
know that inserting a DVD and selecting "movie player" will inevitably
result in being able to watch the movie on that DVD, will know that the
"OpenOffice Writer" located in his Main Menu is nothing short of the libre
equivalent to M$ Word. And if he does want in-depth documentation for any
of those programs, they're already available at the press of an F1 key.
But perhaps he's not a particularly advanced user and won't know what a
"terminal" is and how to find it, or what graphics card to buy so his new
laptop will work with a fully-free system, or how to edit his .mp3 tags
(because maybe he's only ever used iTunes to do that). Which is why we DO
have manuals for those things.

*end of rant*

Some of the manuals in that table of contents are either partially or
totally incomplete. That should keep you busy, Hound. ;-)
