It is possible (though not certain) that Mozilla will backport WebM to
Firefox 3.6. If you can create or find a patch for FF 3.6 that enables
WebM playback, we would all appreciate it.

An easier solution is to wait until a gstreamer plugin is released for
WebM playback, and for us to offer that newer version in Trisquel 4.0 as a
software update, so that both Totem and the browser (and Midori in
Trisquel Mini, for that matter) can all play WebM.
