[Trisquel-users] Ibus frustration

When using ibus, I start typing and the language panel appears in the lower  
left corner of any window I'm typing in.

Here you can see that I've typed nihao (你好) in the firefox search bar in  
the upper right, but the language panel that allows me to select different  
characters appears in the lower left... This is very frustrating.

Does anyone know why this is or how to fix it? I've tried searching online  
and can't find anything. I'm pretty sure that this doesn't occur with Ubuntu,  
though I don't have a machine to test it on.
